A year ago today I posted the photo below in my concern for our New Orleans friends.
We found out quickly that Gayle, Breland, Elaine and their family were safe, but
I’m glad I didn’t know that Coleen had to stay because of her father-in-law and her
sister. I remember emailing her, pmailing her….worrying for weeks.
Thank God she and Elgin were safe, although devastated by the
damage in their home and the homes of their family and neighbors.

Today again I’ll post my garden angel with special thoughts for those who
were safe, and as a remembrance for those who lost their lives. The courage and spirit of so many is an inspiration.

Also, a big HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Liza....."Snootydog"...have a great one!
