I am always fascinated by a stick with little growths....I guess they are lichen.
I found a stick on my porch today, spent time with the camera when I was supposed
to be cleaning house. I guess I'll do that tonight! This was taken near sunset and
those are sun rays in the background.

Yes once you have an object for your camera, anything else can wait (it´s a good excuse, isn´t it). Like this composition with the sun rays falling in.

You did a great job with the stick. It is not easy to photograph these little lichen and the light is great. (When you finish there's a messy house in Metairie.)
