Yesterday I had a butterfly against our beautiful blue sky.
Today a shrimp, or rather a shrimp plant. It reminds me of
childhood. My Mom always grew them and we would pull that little
white part off and suck the sweet nectar out of it. There are a
couple of ants on it, but they are hard to see.

Coleen, now I'm worried....maybe it was honeysuckle I sucked on as a child.
Don't try the shrimp plant, I may be wrong!

I've never seen (nor heard of) a shrimp plant. Thanks for sharing!

Coleen reminded me why I like hineysuckle so much....
Just make sure you clean this 'shrimp' before sucking on it, lol!

Nice shot of the shrimp. This is not an easy flower to photograph so you have done well. Didn't know you could suck the nectar on the shrimp but we do it on the honeysuckle.

Using that blue sky to your advantage. There is nothing more perfect than infinity. The shrimp looks lovely...they are nice on the barbie too ( aussie joke ) that was once used to lure American tourists to our shores. The star of the ad campaign went on to write the screenplay & play "Crocodile Dundee" His name is Paul Hogan...you may or may not remember :>)
