A sweet little wildflower peeking out of the enclosure around our air-conditioner.
I also finally got a decent photo of a squirrel today.

This is just superb. It's beautiful in its simplicity -- stunning, really, and, dare I say it, "artsy" all at the same time. Composition is great. I'd put this up there as one of your best, but in a whole new category.

Very pleasing... in many ways. Including the detail on the surface of the wood, by the way.

BTW...we still need to get you a D70 and borrow one of my longer lenses for squirrels.

OK,OK,OK...proved me wrong...it isn't mandatory to show bare skin to get lots of views. A quality shot wins when it's done right.

Very nice, mom.

Wonderful composition, Petesie. For a moment I thought it was a lotus blossom in the thumbnail.

Such a contrast- the living, delicate flower and the rough wood.
Sam Stevenson25-Mar-2005 01:37
I would have sworn you put the flower there just for the photo if you hadn't explained otherwise - great shot - very interesting composition with the angles and contrast of grey texture with the light flower against black background, and the flower's shadow paralleling the left side of the enclosure. You got my vote.

Wonderful lighting and textures! This is a pretty little wildflower. They are so hardy they can grow just about anywhere.
