FIFTY YEARS AGO TOMORROW!

I know this isn't one of my photos, but it dawned on me that I will be celebrating
an anniversary tomorrow....in 1955 I represented San Antonio in the Tournament of Roses
Parade in Pasadena.....it was the first time they could remember that it was cold and rainy,
lucky me! The float won first prize for our category. It was a lot of new things for me:

First plane ride
First (and probably last) horse race (Santa Anita)

Went to the Rose Bowl Game.....rain soaked, and Ohio State beat Southern California 20-7
And this year Texas plays in the Rose Bowl....GO LONGHORNS

I had a great time for a ten year old (you do believe that, don't you?) I have never shown these photos to my Grandchildren....maybe even my
children haven't see them...perhaps it is time! Thanks for looking.
