I'm a calendar girl!

Just had to share my excitement with all of you. The local Rotary
Club has a contest each year for photos to appear in their annual calendar.
I entered for the first time last year and one of my photos was "October".
This year, to my surprise and excitement, I got the cover photo, which they
repeat in January and another of my photos is in April. The sunset was taken off
of our back porch with my Canon Sure Shot. The butterfly was taken last April at
Butterfly Day at the Emily Ann Theater and is digital. Just a lucky shot. What makes me feel
so good is that at least three of the other months were awarded to professional photographers!

On a difficulty scale of 1-10 the two winning photos were a 1....on a difficulty scale of 1-10, getting a glare-free photo of the calendars for Pbase was a 20!

But now, what do I do for next year?

Nikon Coolpix 4500
1/6s f/2.6 at 7.8mm iso100 full exif

other sizes: small medium original auto

CONGRATULATIONS!!!! Petesie, you're as good as ANY professional at sunsets! If I had access to that calendar, I'd hang it in my operatory at work as EVERYONE could see it (i'd likely only have the cover showing, tho! LOL!)

What do you do for next year? Oh, you have only just begun! I am so thrilled for you. Who would have thought that taking a picture of a picture was more difficult than taking the picture in the first place? (Say that three times fast!)

I'm so excited for you, Petesie. What a great honor, and well deserved. Next year will be the whole calendar. Big congrats!
