The first time I visited these Islands was in 1969, when the late Bobby Tulloch took me ashore on the Island of Fetlar. There I became a warden for the RSPB . We were watching the first breeding pair of Snowy Owls for Brittain on a 24-hour shift.Since that remarkeble summer I have been back 15 times and consider the Islands as my second home.
