Olympia

The ancient site of the sanctuary dedicated to Zeus, the king of Greek gods, is located in western Peloponnese. It was a sacred sites to all Greek city states. The Classical period Temple of Zeus (now in ruins) with a 13m tall statue was one of the seven wonders of the ancient world.
Nowadays, it is best known as the site of the original Olympic games during the Classical Antiquity.
