Wasp Vs Bee

This wasp (Vespula vulgaris) was cutting up the corpse of a honeybee (Apis
melifera). It stated by chopping the thorax from the abdomen and then
cutting all the legs off so it could then carry the body parts back to
its nest. It went for the thorax before the abdomen. I guess due to
the higher protein of the major muscles in the thorax.
