Lake Entrance - Lake Ellesmere

Lake Ellesmere is opened at Taumutu several times a year with bulldozers
and then left to close naturally from wave action from the ocean. This
shot was taken just a few days after it closed this Spring. The Port
Hills of Banks Peninsula are in the background
