This tiny 5cm body, 8cm with the beak and tail, (3 inches) female Roitelet Juvénil, is, together with the troglodite, the smallest European bird, about 5 grams. Hardly ever seen, it happenned to hit our veranda window and be picked up and photographed before it flew away when recovered. Lucky close flash shot with our new and excellent Canon G10.
