Local resident hawk

Hawks are very hard to ID. The plumage typically has different morphs (software engineering friends will enjoy the ornithological term: polymorphic), some young of one species look like females of another species, some large males of one may look like females of the other, etc.
For example, young red tails do not have red tails.
Flying bird is actually easier to ID then perching one because of flight patterns and more characteristic plumage under their wings.
We are spotting many hawks, obviously red tails are common, we have seen ferruginous, probably northern harrier, maybe red winged.

[PL] Okoliczny jastrzab.
Jastrzebie sa ciezkie do identyfikacji. Maja zroznicowana kolorystyke, mlode jednego gatunku wyglada jak samica innnego. Duzy samiec jednego moze przypominac samice innego, itd. Naprawde latwiej jest rozpoznac ptaka w locie (niz na plocie : ).
Jak dotad udalo nam sie rozpoznac przynajmniej 3 gatunki.
