A stunning sunset or sunrise is a gift. It will stop me dead in my tracks. I cannot just have a quick look. I need to absorb the layers of light as they play on the sky and clouds. No two sunsets are ever he same. They are "ikkaisai" or once in a lifetime.

My fondest joy was riding my Harley towards a town called Godderich, into the setting summer's sunlight. The highway headed west, and allowed me to enjoy a full two hours of sunset, as I listened to the loping of the exhaust pipes. The combination of the ride and sunset brought to me a calmness, a peaceful heart, and humility of soul. This gift was for me to see, and enjoy.
