Crooke's Radiometer

This unusal object is called a Crooke's Radiometer. The four paddles blackened on one side and silver on the other and the glass bulb is under vacuum. The paddles spin as the light intensity in increased. In full sun they spin very fast but are almost stationary in dull or cloudy weather.
