Display0813M is a customizable app for sailing data on iPhones, iPads, iWatches, and ActiveLook smart glasses. It offers configurable pages and data displays with over 35 sailing measurements from the boat’s NMEA network and polars tables.

On phones and pads, the Data and Analog Displays include minimum and maximum values and time series graphs. The Wind Display provides
comprehensive wind, heading, and speed information, and the Route Display shows the expected sailing condition on each route leg. The presentation is in a hybrid analog and digital format, based on the sailing context: going upwind, downwind, or towards a waypoint, and enhanced by the polar data. The shown displays can be filtered by the sailing conditions: navigating, having polars activated or tacking.

The app also provides alerts and extensive logging options.

On watches and smart glasses, the pages can be filtered depending on the sailing context, whether a waypoint is set or a polar table is activated. Display0813M connects to a NMEA 0813 Wi-Fi gateways such as B&G Vulcan, Zeus, GoFree, Yacht Devices, Signal K, Actisense and ShipModul.

The app is delivered as recurring annual subscription (approximately 1€/$ per month), with a two week free trial, and runs on iOS 17 or later.

Summary

Fully configurable phone & pad Displays:
• Any number of pages, any number of rows on any page and any number of Displays on any row
• Any display type (Data, Analog Data, Wind, Graph or Route) in any location, optinionally filtered by sailing context.
• Automatic scaling. Displays adjust to screen: a single Display on a page fills the entire screen and all Displays on a page are fitted to the screen (limited by the smallest allowed text size). The Display sizes are relative to each other: XS is half of M, which half of XL.
• Page(s) Editor: change, add to or remove from the provided default pages or previous version’s converted pages.
• Display Attribute Editor: edit displays


Version 2.3 with Display Content Filtering
New capabilities:
• Display Content Filtering: filter displays by Beating, Not beating, Navigating, Not navigating, Polars or Not Polars.
• Route Display summary: remaining distance, including possible tacking, and duration based on Polar’s target speed or user-given speed.
• Route Display optimization for iPads’ larger screens.
• Alerts for missing or stale data.
• Optional gesture audio feedback when tapping the screen or swiping to change pages.
• Error corrections: in watch app initialization after configuration updates, Route Display initialization.

Data & Privacy
Display0183M collects optionally logs (raw data, location and/or filtered and formatted NMEA measurement data).
The data is stored on the user device file system and never read or otherwise used by Display0183M. The user is responsible for managing the log files.
