Abandoned

Rhyolite, NV view map

The remains of what once was a two story, eight room school house in the now
ghost town of Rhyolite, NV. Rhyolite was founded during the gold rush years of
1904 - 1908, lasting for all intents and purposes until the post office closure in 1913.
Rhyolite is about 5 miles east of Death Valley National Park near the town of Beatty, NV.

Interesting how those ancient eroded mountains outlast anything man can build. The light and shadow add a nice dimension to this strong composition. Voted.
