Outflow

Mount St. Helens National Volcanic Monument view map

A portion of the debris flow leading out from the volcano. The absolute expanse of this just
cannot be accurately represented in an image. One has to go there to comprehend the magnitude.
And this is the scene some 33 years since the massive eruption (May 18, 1980).
