First Lightning Capture of the 2009 Summer Monsoon

Tucson, AZ

A storm cell moved across the valley south of Tucson in the late afternoon. This was the best capture of what I observed. This bolt is very long --- this is looking south of Tucson with the actualt bolt being 10 - 15 miles away. Given that distance, this bolt is likely close to two miles in length.

Tripod, lightning trigger, cropped for comp full exif
