Birds and bales
This shot owes much to luck and a fortunate series of events.
It rained (the first rain in quite a while) heavily this morning, hence the nice greens and the haze in the background woods.
It was Tuesday, so I had taken a road I normally wouldn't so that I could go by the local harazdous waste station to drop off some old motor oil and an expired propane tank.
I had stopped on my way back to have a look at the scene through the viewfinder. It wasn't too exciting _ birds standing around eating in a field _ until a truck screeched to a halt on a highway just out of the picture to the right.
The birds took off and I pushed the shutter.
