These Pics made me home sick for the Vineyard life. Presently living in China teaching English. Lived on the Vineyard in Summer 1969-at Taylor's Campgrounds, Spring 1970 (Oak Bluffs Victorians)Camped in a tent that Summer in Tisbury-till the rains forced me out, Fall 1970 move to a Vineyard Haven home with 2 other girls, 1971 with crazy Roddy(Rodney-last name?) on Chappy Farm house, until the next Summer. I knew Ceslie and Jeffery. I made a living sewing and doing alterations for Mrs.Wren's fabric shop in Edgertown. I had a dog named "Pumpkin" and a black cat named Tasha. Anyone still there remember me?Any of you old "Hippies" still alive? Let's get in contact.Deb H.

The colors are slightly dull in some shots, but maybe that's the way they looked. I'm suprise you didn't use Velvia action on them. ;)

My favorite of the bunch is the Wasque shot, but I would crop just lightly tighter and throw some sky away. The horizon is a little low.

Thanks for your comments, but I am puzzled about the composition one. Are you thinking of some forumula, like the "rule of thirds?" There are times when the rule of thirds is meant to be broken and horizons/objects can be centered. These don't have particularly bad composition, I believe.

I live near Cape Cod and am able to visit the Vineyard often for work related trips. Your photo's, according to others, may not be perfect but probably much better than I could take... I thoroughly enjoyed them and thought they were wonderful. I think you have a good eye for composition, keep up your good work!

I never seen any photos of marthas vinyad these are nice and I like them. Just a observation and recomendation some need work on composition like the Chappy Ferry, Chappy Beach Club, Menemsha Lobster Traps and Clouds Over Edgartown.
