Stocksbridge: An industrial area close to Sheffield, with 10,000 years of human history.These photos were taken whilst walking (more or less) the six Stone to Steel routes in the area; not a documentary, but just interesting sights or lighting found on the day.

The area is one of contrasts: A valley with steelworks on one side of a ridge, open moorland on the other; farmland planted with pylons overlooking heavy industry; housing suddenly stopping for moorland. And those contrasts can add to the beauty, with an open mind ...
