I was unhappy with the pictures I had today, so I stuck a knife through my chin to see how that would look. I think it worked okay, but it HURT LIKE HELL! Oh well, all part of taking pictures I guess. I sewed myself back up and I think I'll be okay now.

Some have been curious as to how I accomplished this picture, so I'll spill my guts... well, you know what I mean. :) This isn't Photoshop work as much as it is real life work. I took a knife, broke the tip off, and stuck the tip of the knife in my mouth and pinched it between the roof of my mouth and the bottom of my mouth. I shoved the other part of the knife up under my chin, and filled my mouth with catchup. Yep, good old catchup for the blood. In photoshop I just worked with the colors a bit and darkened it some and added the grain, and WA-LA! This is the end result.

I had actually considered this picture for some time before I finally did it. I had planned to have a really cool knife, and some real cool fake blood, and planned on making myself look more beat-up, and had this elaborate studio lighting idea planned. But finally as the end of my project was getting close, I just broke a kitchen knife, grabbed some old catchup out of the fridge, and did this shot in front of a single desk light as a "test". I decided it fulfilled my goal well enough. :)

Paul! I don't like this image... However for being a gorey image, it is a good one. I just don't like to see my brother in this type situation. Yucky! Guess you'll give your nephew, Meven a run for his money with this one, hu? :) Yikes!
Guest 20-May-2004 05:37
I have done that before too! lol This is so cool and the most AWESOME GORY image! Nice one for today! The grain adds to the gore too! DUDE...NICE!
