Waiting to get off the ship. This is my co-traveler, Maria, laying on the sun deck while we waited back at Ports O' Call (San Pedro) to leave the ship. Everyone was given a colored tag for their luggage, and you leave in groups based on your color. We were yellow, and fortunately (for me - more time to enjoy the ship) we were the last group to leave the ship. There were 2,600 passengers, and 800 crew members aboard the Monarch of the Seas. It took three hours to get from the first group to our Yellow group.

That's exactly the reason. To increase depth of field. However, not so much for this shot but a couple shots right before it. I just didn't change it back yet when I took this picture over my shoulder at my friend that was on the cruise with me.

Paul,

I am wondering why you chose to use ISO400 with a fast shutter speed for this shot where the subject is not moving? I assume you used a small aperture for the depth of field.

Cheers
