IMAGEination #4, March 20, 2010

A look at some of my earliest digital work, from more than a decade ago.

Back in 1999 I bought my first digital camera, a Kodak DC-260 with an amazing(!!!) 1.6 megapixels. Digicams had already been around for a number of years, but the DC-260 was among the first to break the megapixel barrier at an "affordable" price.

Even though the quality was inferior to that of my film SLRs and lenses I was taken by the immediacy of the image. No more waiting for prints or slides, no more hours of darkroom work; I could see the final image in seconds. I still own this camera that launched a personal revelation in my photography.
