On the 20th of August 1983 15 year old Kerwin Duinmeijer is stabbed to death by a racist. Duinmeijer, born in the Dutch Antilles islands, tries to get into a taxi, but is refused a ride. The cab driver fears that his car seats will get permanent stains from the boy's blood. The murder resulted in a nation wide uproar against racism.
