Already at my first visit to Japan in 1986 I was shocked by the great number of homeless sleeping around Shinjuju Station (who would have expected that in one of the world's wealthiest countries), but their number has increased rapidly in Japan's "Lost Decade" (after 1991). Many of the parks in Tokyo today are camping grounds for homeless rather than places of recreation for the local people. Great shot!
