We have captured a picture of the strangest hummingbird I have seen in 25 years. This one is about 2.5 inches long, rusty colored body, but has 2 horizontal cream colored stripes across it's back. It is a returnee from last year. When you first see it you think it is a bumble bee, but once you see the wing beats and manner of eating, you know you definitely are looking at a hummingbird. I have pictures in my email system, but I do not know where to go with them. I would love for someone to identify this tinly little creature my co-worker caught on film. There is also a short video, which I wish was much better than it is. Is there someone I might be able to send these to that could perhaps identify this tinly little bird. Rebecca held her business card up beside it when the picture was taken so you can get an idea of its true size.
