Robert Brennan...my Dad..11th July 1930 - 18th August 2011
This is my lovely Dad.
2 days ago, we lost him, very suddenly, totally unexpectedly..a huge shock to us all, but especially to me as I saw him and cared for him, every day.
He was the picture of health in the morning, and I found him 2 hours later in his favourite chair in front of the TV,I thought he was asleep, but he had gone to be with my Mum.
I'm heartbroken...

Farewell for now Dad
Yesterday, we said our final Goodbyes to my Dad. It was such an emotional day, not a dry eye in the house. The love for him from everybody, was just wonderful. The music was beautiful, as were the flowers.
We ended the day by releasing large lanterns into the sky for Dad.
I just hope that my Dad knows how much love was sent to him yesterday, and always...

Lunch on the Orient Express
Chris & I were very fortunate today to have lunch on the Orient Express..a wonderful experience, our 27th wedding anniversary..we left the train and went to Chartwell, the home of Winston Churchill for many years..pictures to follow..

TONIGHT !!
Chris & I are taking Dad to London to see his, and our, favourite show. This is his treat from us to him for his Birthday a couple of weeks ago.
Front row seats and Alfie Boe singing the lead...Very exciting for all 3 of us..

Poor Lola
Today I had to rush my Lola to the vets, she was frantically licking at her paw, and it was bleeding. The vet clipped her fur away and found a swollen very sore swelling in between her "toes". After much pulling and cleaning out, she is now bandaged and home on antibiotics. She was very brave, but cried bitterly. Not sure if its a sting, or from where she may have had a grass seed in it. But her relief at being home is evident in her smiling picture..

Blue IS the colour
I'm so thrilled with the first flowers on a hibiscus I planted just a month ago. Beautiful blue in a huge blue pot.

Today's the day !!
A Very exciting day, the Royal Wedding of our Prince William and his Bride Kate.
30 years ago, I went up to London, and slept out on the pavement the night before Charles and Diana's wedding. I can just say that the atmosphere was something I will never forget, the colour, the pomp and pageantry and then the Bands playing and the Royal family arriving, I'm sure today will be just as great.

A "summers" evening..in Spring
We are having summer-like weather here in England, and after a very hard cold winter, its proving to be most welcome, people flocking to beaches for the Easter weekend, and here in Old Leigh, we were surprised at the amount of people enjoying a pint at the local pubs.
Britain has had a bad recession. Its actually nice to see everyone enjoying themselves.Now we have a Royal wedding to look forward to next week. London is being prepared, its already looking so colourful.
