Lived at 65 Featherbed Lane from 1954-1968. Loved it. Lived in the walk-in, street level apartment next to Anton, the watchmaker. If you lived in the area, it was by the corner of Macombs Rd. You might remember the clocks Anton had in his Windows. I remember getting penny candy at Louie's candy store. Licorice, wax lips, malted meatballs and the candy on the paper - buttons. Tommy's candy store was across the street by the deli, and on the corner was a hair salon. When we first moved there, a great ICE cream parlor was on the next corner, but by the time I started school it closed and became a drug store. Anyone remember?

melody? I knew a girl named Melody who lived there at 80, and it would have been in the early 70's

oh my goodness Dolores! I wonder if you lived in my building?.. but i lived there 35 years ago..

I lived on featherbed lane 60 years ago ..I loved to climb those rocks..I lived up the block on the other side of the street ..nobody locked their doors..candy stores sold penny candy and 2 cent plain..5 cents went a long way..I roller skated and played hop scotch with my skate key..
