We have no idea what the builder had in mind for finishing this but dirt and tree debris collects down on the steps. We worry about water collecting too and seeping into the garage. There is a drain but it could plug up. We'll have a roof built onto this which includes the light, take the steps out and it will be storage accessed from the garage. We never use these stairs anyway. Thats the back of Bills truck you can see through the window.
