3 Legged Dog.jpg

This dog touched me. In Polebridge Montana (West side of Glacier Nat'l Park) there are several dogs that just hang out and when we arrived they were all sleeping on the porch of the Mercantile. Later this ole gal went inside the store to curl up with an old pug by the wood stove. Evidently its 15 years old and doesn't care for people or most dogs, except the pug. Its missing a lot of hair in the shoulder area and lost a leg through a fight along the way. Its about 40 miles to a vet I think on dirt roads, snowed over all winter. Anyway, the picture didn't come out as I liked sadly so I've discovered lately that the painterly artistic features of Photoshop can sometimes turn a sows ear into a silk purse!

That did turn into a great photo. I really like how it treated the wood texture.

How great to "salvage" such a delightful image in this way. This really does touch the heartstrings, and even more so with your the story to go with it!

I like the PS processing and the painterly effect. Sweet story about the dog.

Very interesting results you got with Photoshop, Linda. He looks pretty sad and I bet he doesn't put up with much nonsense from the other dogs! ~ Donna from TX
