Still in Ruins

Five years after Hurricane Katrina the New Orleans Municipal fishing pier is still a big heap of junk disgracing the lakefront.

Us photogs try to make the most of it. Long exposure smooths out the waves as they hit the riprap.

Poor New Orleans. Katrina exposed a lot of problems. But this shot is making lemonade out of lemons, Phil. Beautiful photo. Vote.

Beautifully done, Phil. The mess does make for drama. We're making lemonade out of those lemons. Maybe the new mayor will get something done. We can hope.
