Hi Bob - I'd be glad to explain the process to you. These images are all done entirely in Photoshop without any plug-ins, so you should be fine with PS6. I'll e-mail you with the details. Thank you for the kind words!

How did you create this picture? I have a photo (digital) of my Wife and Granddaughter "Sniffing" face to face that I would love to render to something similar.
Just choosing "Painting effects" doesn't work.
I also have a picture of the Old House in Alabama where my Wife grew up that isn't too much different than your "Cabin" picture that I would also like to render similar.
I have PhotoShop 6, and can kind-of use it.
Unfortunately, I am an Engineering Designer that can create wonderful, complex piping systems in chemical plants, but ain't no artist. But I am going to do this or else. Any help getting started would be appreciated.
By the way, I got here through your "Lightning" post on Digital Photography Review.
