Thanks. Well, this is one of those images that I like, but dislike. I don't care for the halo around the head, and I wish there was just a little more DOF (as you mentioned).
Great composition, tack-sharp eye, incredibly even, soft unicolored background. This is a technical success on all levels. I like how the limited, and well-used DOF keeps bringing me back to that super sharp eye! BTW, this is the strangest plumage I've ever seen on an AmWi. Nice capture. In general, your bird portraits in these galleries are very good, even though I find myself looking longer and more intently at your photos that express your creative perspectives, this is undeniably a Great Shot that held my attention for some time!
