Centering up

The process is long and tedious in zeroing a part to .001" or so. Since this is a non-critical application, if I'm within a couple of thou, that's fine cosmetic purposes. Step-up rings are not precision made, and seem to be goose-egged inside. When the part is zeroed, the indicator needle shouldn't vary more than 3 or 4 graduations (.0005").

other sizes: small medium original auto
