Mr. Eckler (science teacher) didn't have to force anyone to "listen attentively". He was a dynamic speaker who just commanded respect, and when he spoke it was always interesting and useful.

He passed away several years ago from cancer. I saw him briefly at the Lorain Co. fair - perhaps 6 months before his passing. I sure wish that I had a camera that day. He still remembered me and we talked for a bit. Gone now, but not forgotten.

I remember that he had two identical white 1958 Desotos at one time, and also a Karman Ghia VW.
