In 1980 the enterprising graduating class moved (in the dark of the night) this rock out to the new school. It was set up to read " 80 " instead of " 08 ". The city fathers had it moved back to its original location. In a few years, they decided the kids were right, and took it back to the new school. This was about the time they demolished the yellow school.

We can thank the last glacier for putting it on our doorstep; about 10,000 years ago.
