Below the starter you see a dangling wire. This was hooked to the low oil sensor at one time. The sensor died, so I just unhooked it.

The pipe flange that connects the muffler with the pipe needed to be faced off in the lathe, as it was too rough to seal anything. A thick exhaust gasket should work though.
