William Merrill was the youngest of twelve children born to William John Whiston Merrill & his wife, Lillian Elizabeth T. Wallker Merrill. He caught pneumonia while working in a grain elevator in Crete & died at home, shortly thereafter. The original photograph shown was given to me by my grandmother, Hazel Alice Merrill.
