Charles Gird Mann was the fourth child of six born to Robert Mitchell Mann & his wife, Lucinda Connor. He married Helen Grinstead Allen in Falls City, Richardson County Nebraska on 29 January 1910. Together this couple had two children, the youngest of which was my grandfather. In 1942 he & his wife, along with their son, their daughter & her own family, migrated to Long Beach California where Charlie found work on the docks as a tool checker. He & his wife retired north of Los Angeles to a town called Lancaster, where he died on 03 Octiober 1960. Both he & his wife are buried in Westminster Cemetery, Long Beach, Los Angeles County California.
