Matilda Ann Miller was the third of twelve children and the first daughter born to, Richard Miller and his wife, Margaret [STANTON] Miller, on 13 February 1828 in Clay County, Missouri. She came across the plains in the Great Oregon Wagon Trains with her parents in 1846. She was a niece to our own, Bluford Stanton and granddaughter to John Stanton and Margaret Nancy [PEVELY] Stanton. On 18 May 1851 in Marion County, Oregon, Matilda married, Richard Henry Pollard. Together this couple shared three known children.
