The weekend off 11/11/17 was a milestone in the Sounder Bridge construction project, as well as for the Lakewood sub in general.
Starting early Saturday morning (2 am I’m told), Stacey and Whitbeck crews removed the turnout at the east end of the Tacoma Dome station, as well as a couple of signals, a PTC antenna and about 450’ of track (+-150’ for main 1 and 300’ on main 2).
The function of the turnout (known as G street), will now be served by the new crossover at L street on the east side of the bridge.
