The Host/Hostess is given the password to the OTF Challenge galleries, but may NOT change the password. This is changed only by the administrator.
You have two weeks from your win to set up a new challenge.
If you are not familiar with the workings of PBase, please look through the "Building" information at the bottom of this page, which will guide you in setting up the gallery for your challenge.
The Challenge Rules will stand as written, but the Challenge Guidelines may be modified to your wishes. Make sure they are clear in your challenge thread.
Have entrants send entries to you or set up another account where you would like them sent. They are allowed only one for Challenge (unless the host specifically asks for two) and two for Exhibition.
You will be given the password so you can manage the Challenge and Exhibition galleries. Challenge gallery must be hidden until voting begins, and the EXIF portion should remain hidden until after all voting is complete. Help is always available if you have difficulty with pbase.
You may copy the challenge information from a prior challenge.
When time for voting, try to get 2 helpers from the forum for counting votes, then compare notes during the voting period. We have a master tally sheet in Excel that will be given to you.
The host and counters should vote at the start of the voting. Many hosts decline to vote at all and state they will not be voting when they put up the voting thread.
When votes are tallied, announce the winners in the forum. Places 1 thru 5 will be listed, but the number of votes need not be listed. The rest should be listed in random order only. Arrange the top five entries in the gallery.
Please return entries that are too big, unless the entrant allows you to do the resizing. The entries must be returned if they did not include EXIF info. Entrant has one opportunity to make a corrected entry.
If you have an entry from a non-member, it must be rejected with an explanation and invite them to join and enter the next one.
You decide whether or not to have Titles and make it clear in your challenge thread.
