This car came to me without a motor. Originally it had a 396 cu. in. motor. When I
bought it the car was in good shape and had been used as a bracket car on the drag
strip. I bought a 327 with a truck transmission and installed the motor in the car. The
rear end was 456 geared so the car didn’t go very fast. Top speed was probably 60 miles
per hour but it got to top speed real fast. Later on I put a 283 with a power glide 2 speed
transmission and that was a much better combination with the 456 rear end. During the time I had
the car it was stolen and stripped but I got it back. After a year it was rebuilt and back on the road.
