On this journey, I will take the viewer into the human condition of those in poverty and living on the streets of Las Vegas, Nevada; and Albuquerque and Santa Fe, New Mexico. A few of these people have chosen this life, most have not. Some I have met and gotten to know on a personal level over several years and others I have come to know only through observation (photography) as for various reasons I did not feel comfortable or safe approaching them for conversation. Some of the homeless I have photographed were just passing through on their way to another city, but most were either permanent or seasonal residents (are they residents if they don't have a home?).
