At 19:00 Pandi comes back from his work as bricklayer. Half way home he stops at the Vaigai River to take a shower. Tough it may seem not that clean, the river, it is fresh rainwater mixed with the brown soil, a lot more cleaner then when the water is running slow mixed with sewer and soap from dobi's.
