They were so enthusiastic, these young men, pulling the rope of the huge cart of Meenakshi and
Sundareswaram that seldom you could see even a small piece of it, afraid to loose their place but
here proudly showing when the big car stopped once again.

Speaking of all the power you see here bundled, you could say Put a Tamil in your tank :)).

This was the last day of the Marriage concluding with the procession of the huge cars but the
festival went on two days after with the popular celebrating of Kallalagar coming too late on the
wedding of his sister at the Vaigai River. Due to the mass of young people throwing with water and
the cloudbursts it became a rather wet happening to see only a small golden horse with an even
smaller statue of Kallalagar vanishing in the crowd. I preferred to skip this rather wild place
shown on television, maybe a try for next year for more tactical viewpoints with a heavy zoom then,
but I own you still the huge wedding cars ....
