Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Day
Every 5 seconds the drum resonated softly in the morning announcing the remembrance of the day that Mahatma Gandhi died in 1948, the drummer leading the mourning procession around the Meenakshi Temple carrying a picture of this Mahatma or Great Soul in to the Temple.
