Taken from the Pandian night-train express Madurai-Chengelpattu at around 5.15 in the morning, a half hour before arriving in Chengelpattu.

You can notice that there are a lot of green fields in the area around Chennai, they got a good water-supply from dams. More to the South the water-supply is less: a lot of fields are dried out during this season, there is no rainfall during wintertime.
