Connector Design

I came up with a connector design that eliminates thru-bolts and possible leaks. The bottom connectors are bent plates on the aft section that hook behind flat plates on the forward section. I also used hold-down clamps to connect the sections at the top. This actually makes it easy to connect the sections in the water - much easier than connecting them on deck or on shore.
